I need assistance for joining Freenas into Windowser server 2012 AD.

You'll have to be a lot more informative than that. We have no idea what your setup is and what problems you're facing.

Hi.. i followed each and every step in that document..but unable to AD users are login into the NAS Server

I able to add windows server 2012 AD but AD usera are unable to login.. Please check the attached image for your reference and please help me out of this..

You have provided no useful information and just showed us a screencap of the CLI. Which you shouldn't even be using.

If you want help, you'll have to carefully explain what you have done. Do not expect people to hold your hand through the process, that's what the manual is for.

I Have added Windows server 2012 AD to freenas but it not showing the AD users and not allowing the AD users to login.

And the FreeNAS system and the users all have appropriate privileges?

Post following enclosed in [ code ] tags:
  • Hardware specs of server
  • contents of /etc/local/smb4.conf
  • output of 'wbinfo -u'
  • output of 'wbinfo -g'
  • output of 'getent group'
  • relevant log entries from /var/log/messages, /var/log/samba4/log.wb-<domain>

Hard ware specs of Windows Sevrer 2012 AD :

Server Version: Windows Server 2012 R2
RAM : 4 GB
domain; in.spinsci.com
HDD : 80 GB


Attached are teh outputs of the required.The logs are very large in number so that unable to ake screen shot if any other way is available let me know so that i can provide you logs.

I was referring to the hardware specs of your freenas server. You can enable ssh and copy the information out of a proper ssh session or use scp / sftp to download the relevant files.

You have configured your FreeNAS server as an AD domain controller. This means you now have two distinct AD domains configured on your network, which is not a desirable configuration. I believe you're trying to join it as an AD member server (not a domain controller), correct?

We need the hardware specs of your FreeNAS server.

What version of FreeNAS, including the embedded date are you running.
