My TrueNAS address is 192.168.1.238
I've configured a pool and a share called 'backup'
I open the Fire Explorer on my Windows Server 2022 (new install, not a domain controller) and paste the following on the address bar --> \\192.168.1.238\backup
I get a prompt for root password, I type the password I configured on my TrueNAS and then I get this error:

'The specified network password is not correct'

I can login to TrueNAS GUI using this SAME password through the Firefox Browser without any problems

On the windows server I'm using a private network, I've enabled network discovery and file sharing

You can't (shouldn't) use the top-level root dataset of the pool to store data, let alone use as an SMB Share.

Like @Davvo said, you can't (shouldn't) use root to access your SMB Shares.

Yep, that was it. I created a new user and now all is good. That was fast. Thanks.
