Hello everyone

I suddenly lost acess to my TRUENAS drive and when ive tried to log back in with the same password and username it is telling me its incorrect.

I wanted to ask

  1. What setting on windows 11 do i need to have so that this will work?
  2. How can i double check im using the right password (or change it if need be, i have acess to the TRUENAS gui)
  3. How can i use the setting where it bypasses a password and just uses your windows login details?
Thank you for reading

The questions to your answers are: After reading the questions below, at first I thought you were asking about the admin/root login to the TrueNAS GUI, now I'm thinking you are talking about permissions with your shares.
  1. What setting on windows 11 do i need to have so that this will work? Windows has nothing to do with this. It's a permissions issue.
  2. How can i double check im using the right password (or change it if need be, i have acess to the TRUENAS gui) You can't. If you enter the correct password then will be logged in, wrong password and it will fail.
  3. How can i use the setting where it bypasses a password and just uses your windows login details? This sounds like you are having permissions issues. You need to set the permission correctly in TrueNAS for sharing.
I recommend you are more specific with your questions. If you have access to the GUI, then you need to fix the share permissions, and maybe even the user account password.
