I am trying to understand how to go about this, and I have poked around and learned "what I need to do", but I am not sure how to actually accomplish this.
Long story short, I looked into this in the past, thought I would run a Ubuntu vm under ESXi, scrapped that idea for performance reasons, and am back to a jail for Syncthing.
I need to make syncthing write with 770 permissions (at least, I think for now, either way I need a umask as it is currently 755 and I at least need 77x), and I see this thread, but I have no actual idea how to "point" to this script in the startup of the jail, nor what I would have to edit exactly to make it work for syncthing.
Setting umask for btsync?
Any help would be amazing. This has been a hurdle of mine for a while now...
