Hi All,

It all started with Couchpotato froze on me, I tried restarting the server, but I can't get it to boot. Messages like the one below was displayed hundreds of times

Code:
(da0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): READ(10). CDB: 28 0 0 77 6a 0 0 0 80 0
(da0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): CAM status: SCSI Status Error
(da0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): SCSI status: Check Condition
(da0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): SCSI sense: MEDIUM ERROR asc:11,0 (Unrecovered read error)

I tried everything I know, but just couldn't get it to boot, so I decided I'd cut my losses and start fresh and flash my USB stick with the newer version of Freenas.

I can import the UFS volume just fine, but a quick looks at dmesg shows the same message above printed many times. So I backup my data and decided to wipe the data, storing 0s and re-create the volume.

I tried
Code:
fsck -t ufs /dev/ada0
and here's the message I get

Code:
** /dev/ada0 (NO WRITE)
Cannot find file system superblock
ioctl (GCINFO): Inappropriate ioctl for device
fsck_ufs: /dev/ada0: can't read disk label

I don't want to put my Jail there again in fear the whole debacle might happen again. Should I be worried? Anyway I can "fix" this?

thanks in advance guys!
