Using: FreeNAS-8.3.1-BETA2-x64 (r13015)

I will need to share some disks between computers for a short time. I added a new disk and created a volume for it using UFS. Decided to start over and deleted the volume. When I deleted the volume, Freenas warned that the volume was encrypted and to download the key. I clicked on the "download the key" link and it took me to the System overview page.

:confused:Is this true? Is the volume encrypted? There was no encryption option on the create UFS volume page.

Edit. After reading another post about ZFS and encryption and beta, I assume this post should belong in bugs and it is specific to the betas. When I deleted the volume, it said
GEOM_ELI: Encryption: AES-XTS 256
GEOM_ELI: Crypto: software

So, I guess it really did encrypt it. What do you think?

Yes, I believe that is it. The GEOM_ELI lines all refer to partition 1, which I now assume is a swap partition added to each disk. I did not realize that. So, I should have no problem sharing the disks, I guess.

Thank you very much HolyKiller.
