Two apps with same host path

Why does "Host Path Safety Checks" prevent two applications from using the same host path? Preventing the use of the same host path for an application and an SMB share makes sense due to the permissions impacts, but I don't see any issues with two applications using the same host path. Is there an issue that I am not seeing?

I guess because either can potentially delete parts of the other.

It doesn't, as far as I can see--I can think of two host paths that I'm using in each of at least four different apps without disabling the host path safety checks.

@danb35 that is great! I thought I read somewhere that it did and have been holding off on upgrading to Bluefin because of this.

I upgraded to Bluefin and can confirm that "Host Path Safety Checks" does NOT prevent the use of the same host path with multiple apps.
