I've configured my FreeNAS 8.0.2 against a Linux openldap server, and is working, but I found a couple of error messages in the log:
messages:Dec 29 15:52:40 nas sshd[10227]: pam_ldap: error trying to bind as user "uid=root,ou=Users,dc=myCompany,dc=com" (Invalid credentials)
why is the nas server trying to authenticate as root against the ldap server? Isn't root a local only user?
