Thanks for your response. I correct myself, the LSI is a requirement :)
I got rid of the HP card (put it in again just for testing) and put in the LSI again to have it working correctly. So all good, everything is as you suggested initially. And I'm happy that the problem could be solved, as the LSI runs much cooler now, its now way faster. I hope its persistent (fingers crossed).
