TrueNAS SCALE SAS Multipath

Good morning,

Can i please get a definitive answer as to whether SAS multi-pathing is supported in SCALE? I have been searching for days to no avail.

Current running TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.0

Please advise and thanks in advance for the help.

modprobe -c | grep multi shows that it's probably loading the capability (except for NVME).

The lack of documentation (actually not great in CORE either) might be a hint that it's not really "supported" unless you run enterprise on iX gear.

multipath/multipathd are not installed on my SCALE box.
Active/Passive appears to be kinda working though. I have two shelves and 4 cables going to 2 cards in an "X". I can disconnect 2 of the 4 cables. and it works.
Not pretty tho:

End up getting some CHKSUM errors.

Even though pool never went offline, I Wouldn't count on it in real prod.

It does not work as intended and I experienced the loss of my pool. You should only use one cable to each shelf on SCALE right now.
