Did a factory reset on my truenas scale server after installing the RC1 release manually, reconfigured some pool arrangements, and then went to install the Chia app from the Apps icon. (I find it amusing that deleting a dataset or pool requires extra effort to make sur eyou're doing the right thing, but a factory reset requires no confirmation... But that's a side note).

The install got to 75%, then has sat there for an hour, and there's an error:

CRITICAL

Failed to start kubernetes cluster for Applications: 'NoneType' object is not iterable

2021-11-01 14:21:49 (America/Los_Angeles)

The installation window is at chart.release.create 75.00%.

Options I set are:
  • Application Name: chia1
  • Version: 1.3.20
  • Chia Storage:
    • Configuration Volume:
      • Enable Custom Host Path for Chia Configuration Volume: true
      • Host Path for Chia Configuration Volume: /mnt/mainpool0/chia-config
    • Plot Volume:
      • Enable Custom Host Path for Chia Plots Volume: true
      • Host Path for Chia Plots Volume: /mnt/pool0/chia-plot0
  • Enable 'farmr.net' support: OFF
  • Networking Configuration:
    • Node Port to use for Chia: 8444
    • Farmer Port to use for Chia: 8447
The stuck window seems to be "waiting for chia1 pods to terminate". Which I'm guessing will never happen given the kubernetes error.

Not sure where more detailed logs are that might help.

We'd need more details to see why this deployment is failing. Please open a ticket on Jira.ixsystems.com and attach a debug file. System - > Advanced - > Download Debug
