Hello,

I've been trying to install TrueNAS Scale on a computer, but it's not working. I've recreated the USB key several times, but it still won't work. It gives me this error: "error: unknown filesystem".

Here are the specifications of my machine:

Machine Name: HP Z2 Mini G4 Workstation

Processor: Intel Core i7-8700

Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro P1000 4GB

Storage: 512GB SSD

I'm wondering if this could be a blockage from HP's side, as I had to disable Secure Boot just to boot from the USB key. Should I do anything else? Thanks to those who will help me.

I've installed TrueNAS scale from a ventoy USB which also disables secure boot, so I doubt that's the issue you're facing. There are some USB interfaces/controllers that TrueNAS does not like. I had an external USB drive that refused to partition via TrueNAS but worked perfectly fine on Windows. I suggest trying a different disk.

Did you manage to resolve the issue? I am facing the same one trying to install TrueNAS Scale from scratch. My specs are:
Processor: Intel N100
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Storage: 2x512GB SSD
