Ciao. I have installed TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.0.1 in a virtual machine (VM) on Proxmox. The TrueNAS installation is working perfectly and I was able to passthrough all the disk and the GPU. No issue. The only feature is missing is the CPU TEMPERATURE on the dashboard panel. Also the report CPU do not display anything related to temperature (as shown in the picture below)

CPU > 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13500
MOB > AsRock Z690 Extreme
RAM > 64GB

PROXMOX > 8.0.4
TRUENAS >23.10.0.1

In the Proxmox server the temperature is normally detected via "sensors" command =

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Package id 0: +28.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0: +22.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

The ticket got closed because of what seems to be a lack of capacity :frown:

Not sure what we can do about this more... The latest update (TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.1) also doesn't seem to have fixed this issue unfortunately.

If you virtualise any operating system including TrueNAS, the OS running inside the VM will not get CPU temperatures, plain and simple. Only the hypervisor is able to measure these.

That's what I would think, but I understood from @mw0gct that he's seen this problem only since upgrading.

For me personally, I only switched to Proxmox since the latest Cobia version so I have no comparison material.
