Both are copper, 1Gb connected to switch and router which give ip adddress via DHCP
10Gb connected directly to M1 Mini without switch or router. I setup ipaddress on M1 mini and TrueNAS.
Unfortunately after a reboot TrueNas ip show 0.0.0.0 and i need to add 192.168.2.1 manually

I wonder if TrueNAS is resetting the IP address when there is no link.

Yes this is the problem.

OK - as in my previous I suggest sticking a 10Gb switch if the line rates are fixed or a 1Gb (its a lot cheaper) switch between the M1 and the NAS. See if the problem goes away. This will point us towards the actual problem AND allow for additional testing

You haven't put a default gateway on the 192.168.2.0 network have you?

I assume the M1 also has a NIC on the same LAN as the other NAS port

192.168.2.1 NAS 192.168.2.2 M1 Mac.

In M1 mac i have the default gateway as 192.168.2.1

i did't see that option in TrueNAS.

I think if the M1 mac is online this is not an issue.

So like you said in previous post TrueNAS is resetting the IP address when there is no link.

I have a 1 Gbps switch and i believe it worked as expected when i connected it to the switch , but it was DHCP.

OK - this looks wrong to me - at least how I think its working (of course I can be wrong)
Can I have a network diagram please, including all IP addresses associated to NIC's on the M1, TrueNAS and the Router and where all cables are plugged.

Pro WS X570-ACE, 3900XT, 2 Builtin NIC + 10GbE PCIE NIC, 32Gb ram, 4HDD, 1TB NVME, 750W PSU, Haf XB Evo Mesh (ATX) Mid Tower
TrueNAS have 2 NIC
Intel 1Gbps NIC - DHCP from Asus Ac5300 via 8 port 1Gbps Switch
TpLink 10Gbps NIC
M1 Mac connected via WiFi, USB to Ethernet Adaptor 1Gbps, Built-in 10GbE.
USB 1GbE is prioritized over wifi for Internet.
10GbE on Both NAS and M1 Mini Connected directly and Assigned ipAddress manually
192.168.2.1 for NAS
192.168.2.2 for M1 Mini
Everything working fine.
But when i turn on NAS the 10GbE will lost the static IP and went back to default 0.0.0.0
TrueNAS is installed on EsXi , 10GbE passthrough , intel Nic Shared.

What is the chip set on the TP Link 10 Gbps NIC?

I have not installed any driver. It worked automatically.
