TrueNAS 22.12.2 as iSCSI Initiator

Hello :)

I have a Synology NAS DS920+ with 4 drives each 4TB of storage. I'd like to connect 2 of these drives to my TrueNAS box via iSCSI and create a ZFS pool. Is this possible via the web UI?

I've seen CLI instructions here https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/truenas-v12-as-iscsi-initiator.100448/post-692250? Is this reliable? Is it worth trying?

No. This is not supported. TrueNAS is intended to be your NAS or SAN storage server device. It is not designed to be a client, and doing so may cause a variety of spectacular negative issues. Protocols such as iSCSI and Fiber Channel are not sufficiently fast to sustain I/O for operations such as scrubs or resilvers and this places your data at risk. Don't do it, at least not for anything you want to retain.
