Had to downgrade to 13.0-U5.2 from 13.0-U6. I think it was too early to include the new ZFS feature of "A.I. predictive future snapshots". It messes with your mind and you start to question which files are actually yours. Not to mention the migraine headaches induced from rips in the spacetime continuum.

This is still November 2023, right? I don't trust my clocks anymore.

Good news, you're in the past.
Bad news, you're crazy and we're throwing you in an insane asylum.

All my bhyve virtual machines seems to have lost connectivity after the update... :/

I solved it for now by going to system -> boot -> select 13.0-U5.1 as active and reboot... VM's came online, I expect other issues to have been reverted too... (random reboots)

Okey, I sat down to figure out why the update from 13.0-U5.1 to 13.0-U5.2 made all my bhyve vm's stop working.

I'm using supermicro servers, I have three of them, only two is on truenas core, the last one is a freebsd :)

many, if not all, supermicro servers come with a small handful ethernet interfaces, I just randomly plugs into one (of here the four possible). No LACP or anything, just DHCP.

so if its plugged into the igb1 interface, truenas boots, everything boots, but on 13.0-U5.2, there is no network traffic for the VM's. on 13.0-U5.1 there is.

plugged into igb0 interface, truenas boots, everything boots, on both 13.0-U5.1 and 13.0-U5.2 all the vm's get network traffic :)

so whoever, or whatever did make a change on kernel or bhyve from 13.0-U5.1 to 13.0-U5.2, you introduced an static first interface... :)
