I have 2 bare metal TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1 units. Both on Cisco C240 M4 servers. E5-2637 v4 @ 3.50GHz dual cpu's, 256G RAM in both. They share NFS data stores to 2 ESXi 7.0 hosts on 40G network connections. I am puzzled by the difference in the statistics in each of the units when I do a storage VMotion from one NFS data store to the other data store. Here is the one where the VM's were running, aka the sending unit.
And here is the receiving unit.
Overall I am happy with the performance, but I why is the max traffic receive rate on receiving unit ~=37% of the max sent traffic rate of the sending unit? Perhaps this is a quirk in VMotion, but I am really confused.
