TrueNAS-12.0-U6.1 - Slow UI and file navigation but transfer speeds are unaffected

Sharing multiple SMB shares on TrueNAS Core ver 12.0-U6.1. System has 400GB of RAM, dual 18 core, 32 thread CPUs at 2.1Ghz and full SSD array of 16TB with 5TB free. Browsing the SMB shares is extremely slow and sometimes takes up to 5 minutes to navigate to the next file, however transferring to and from the share's still works at full network speed (1-10gb/s depending on machine). Any ideas as to what's causing this?
