Hello,

Looking for some help associated with a transmission Jail - same as has been listed in the network forum:

https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/socket-issue-in-jail.43528/

...transmission_1 transmission-daemon[41712]: Couldn't connect socket 28 to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, port 51413 (errno 13 - Permission denied) (net.c:290)

I've recently setup transmission to use PIA following this guide:

cannot say whether this issue existed before then or not as I run the box headless (I just happened to have reason to hook up a monitor today as part of upgrading usb boot disks - and saw the same error messages you note above).

Regards,

PiP

Were you able to resolve this? If not, which build version of FreeNAS (from System -> Information)?

Hello DL

Not resolved that I am aware - but stress the only reason I found out something was wrong was because I hooked up a monitor to the box (it is usually headless).

It is again headless so am assuming the socket error is still there in the absence of me doing anything.

FreeNAS-9.10.2-U3 (e1497f269)

Regards,

PiP
