ok, I was told to post bug report id's here and that's exactly what I did - if this url is linked to my account it shouldn't be too hard to work out that the bug report id is : 10450
Because due to changes in the bug tracker, if you submit a debug file the ticket becomes private. I mentioned it to Jordan, but it's still not really fixed. Even bugs that *I* submitted or are tracking have gone private. :/
And I have zero clue why you even think someone told you to link all bug reports here. I've never heard anyone every say that.
People have asked that if you find a bug in the forums and open a bug ticket that you include that bug ticket in the applicable thread so that others can see the progression on that bug. But I've never heard of anyone opening a bug ticket and then posting it with a new thread for zero reason.

This is what I was asked to do once I posted the bug under bug reports within this forum ...
"Note that the actual bug report needs to be reported at bugs.freenas.org and the bug number should be listed here. If you use the Support tab to make the bug report, it will automatically include your CIFS config in the debug file of the bug report. Note that you still have to make a login account at bugs.freenas.org before using the Support tab." https://forums.freenas.org/index.ph...-3-stable-201506292332-iso.35270/#post-213774
Perhaps its unclear what this bug thread should be used for - I am not suppose to report bugs here, and I am not suppose to link bugs back to https://bugs.freenas.org/projects/freenas/issues - hmmm....????
Could have kept quiet - but thought I'll do the right thing by posting these issues here and elsewhere as requested - sorry if I caused some of you grief by dong so
