Transferring Big files from Mac To freenas

I've recently come across an issue which does not allow me to transfer files bigger than about 4.12gb. Is there a way i can get around this?FreeNas 8.3.0 Release p1-x64 (r12825) is what im running. My Mac is 10.7.5.

You're not likely to get useful answers without providing a lot more detail. See, AFP is a very different protocol from CIFS, and both are very different from NFS, and all of that is quite a bit different from FTP, all of which you could be using to transfer the files in question.

Please rethink your question and restate it in a manner such that it provides sufficient information for someone to be able to take a reasonable stab at it.

you actually helped more than you know. I was connecting to cifs and for some reason afp cant be seen on my mac. So the new issue is making Osx Lion see my afp drives.

use FTP... Filezilla
