Thoughts: Persistent L2ARC might be coming to ZFS on Linux

I came across this article on Ars Technica today: Persistent L2ARC might be coming to ZFS on Linux. It seems like persistent L2ARC isn't in FreeBSD (FreeNAS), yet, according to my searches. Does it exist and I haven't found it?

The whole of ZoL aka ZoF aka OpenZFS is coming to FreeBSD (and therefore FreeNAS), but it will take a while.

ZoF is in the FreeNAS nightlies.
