What do you specifically want in terms of a permissions overview? SMB, NFS, OS-level. The ACL implementation in FreeBSD is pretty well-documented in the NFS4.1 RFC.

I suppose I should have been more specific. I was replying to a very early post in the thread where @cyberjock was responding to the OP.
