There be a storm brewing

Kept getting interrupt storms recently irq21 throttling bla, narrowed it down to the sata pci card I fitted recently. Or thought I did, kept getting progressively worse, took out the card and a transfer seemed to go for longer, and as I wrote this, up it pops.

Its a pain in the arse having to restart the unit again.

Its an older MB and seems to only have any ahci option in there. Is there anyway around this issue?

Would swapping sata cables over do this? EG, I loaded the 2 HDs, and thinking about it, it done it a couple of times before this.

Fitted the pci sata card, got it more too often to use, took it out, removed one of the other drives, fitted the one I needed to copy over and its the same.

Switched auto tune on as well, could that have anything to do with it?
