I'm trying to install FreeNAS onto an SSD (250GB) that I just bought. The SSD is a blank NTFS partition I formatted in Windows. Installer says it will delete all partitions anyway so not sure why that would matter, but the error I'm getting after inputting the password is "the device is not configured".

Any suggestions?

Thank you

I would put the SSD back into windows and use the Disk Management Tool to delete
any and all partitions on the drive and try again. If it fails again, post a screenshot.

It probably would have helped if the SSD had power (Forgot to plug the power cable back in). Then something super weird happened: The FreeNAS installation would not start. It would error out - saying something about the GPT header not found. I ended up having to unplug the SATA cable from the SSD, which allowed the FreeNAS installation to begin, then I powered the SSD during installation and it was able to go through...

What model is it? Sounds like it needs to go into the quirks file.
