This past Christmas, I successfully built my dream NAS, TrueNAS Scale system, and it's shockingly good! Zero problems with the hardware. It booted up beautifully on the first try. I just want to express my gratitude and say what a valuable resource this forum is! System details are in my signature. I'm uploading pics for your enjoyment.

The hardware has been solid! And TrueNAS itself has been a joy to work with -- really, really impressive. I've had a bit of a learning curve with the containerized apps, insofar as having to mount my data volumes into the containers, and get all the folder paths to be happy; and, of course, fix all the ownership/permissions issues. And then lastly, I think Radarr has been a real pain to work with, in terms of it being happy consuming my old Radarr library copied over from my old Synology. But, I'll eventually sort it all out!

Stickers sound good...how's that work?

Thanks for the report. Please let us know next summer how cooling works in hot weather. These Jonsbo cases look reasonably attractive for small NAS builds (though I still prefer the Fractal Design Node 304 for its six bays and standard ATX PSU), but I wonder what a 120x15 thin fan behind a backplane can do.

Thanks, I certainly considered the Fractal Design Node 304...probably my second choice. But I just thought this Jonsbo N2 was too dang cute, and it's super well thought out....cable management was a breeze.

I expect temps will be the same in summer. I keep my house about the same temp year-round. All-electric HVAC, solar panels on roof...no power bill to speak of...

I'm uploading pics of current temps and fan speeds. Note the super low fan speeds in Optimized Modes...this thing runs totally silent. Very pleased so far!
