Recently I've had to enable TFTPD for my environment, and I figured I would do it through TrueNas so that way I can have it easily accessible through SMB or NFS, but to cut a long story short: It seems that for some reason inetd is not spawning the tftpd process, and according to this forum post: http://daemonforums.org/showthread.php?t=9489 It could be due to the fact that tftpd was rewritten to NOT use inetd. Of course this would mean it wouldn't work on any systems, but I have no other leads on what this potentially could be, it's a very bare server, only with a terabyte of storage. I'm running version TrueNAS-12.0-U8.1. The only thing I've been able to get from the logs is:
tftp/udp server failing (looping). (Which aligns with what I saw in that forum post).
I'm just not sure what else it could be.
