Hey all,
I was reading the Worst Practices Guide (http://www.freenas.org/blog/freenas-worst-practices/) and it said that my Windows PC system time should be synced with the FreeNAS server. I have several PCs that access the FreeNAS, and I want to make sure they are all synced to the FreeNAS.
If I go into my Windows Date and Time settings and change the Internet Time server to the IP address of my FreeNAS, it seems to sync with it. Is this the correct way of doing it?
FreeNAS version: 9.1.1
MB: Supermicro MBD-X10SAE-O
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230v3
RAM: 2 x Kingston 8GB ECC DDR3 1600
HDD: 4 x WD Red WD20EFRX 2TB
Network setup: Cable modem > Asus AC66U > TrendNet TEG-S80g > FreeNAS and FreeNAS connected PCs
