Greetings
I am Currently running OMV 6 as my nas os. I have been wanting to switch to Truenas For Quite Some Time. is there a certain drive setup i need to use

My Current Setup is as follows:
M5A97 LE Mainboard
AMD Athlon X3 455 Rana CPU
Corsair Vengence DDR3 Ram x16gb
WD 1tb Drive x4
WD Blue 320 GB OS Drive
Hitachi 4tb Drive
500 Watt Corsair PSU

The 4tb drive has our Bluray collection on it the 1 tb drives are setup as a Raid0
wouldi need bigger drives before I Switch or would the 4x1tb drives work.

Thanks
Mike

you need to replatform to supported hardware before you worry about drives. stick with OMV. you will likely have to make a new pool with new disks on new supported hardware.

I suggest you the following resources to start understanding how zfs/TrueNAS works (and why you are being told to have proper hardware).

I could link a few more, but this should more or less cover the basics.
