I setup a test system using the i386 8.0.1 beta 2 version with ZFS.
I have 4 GB ram.
Looks like I need to switch to the amd64 version.
Is there already a faq for the best steps to follow to do this?

If I need to start from scratch, how do I preserve the ZFS volume that I made under i386?

Everything is arch-independent, just GUI upgrade using a amd64 image and you should be fine
Just be sure to save your config before doing so

Looks like that worked. Thank you.

I had modified the loader.conf under i386 with the following:
vm.kmem_size="512M"
vm.kmem_size_max="512M"
vfs.zfs.prefetch_disable="0"
Are any of those items needed under the amd64 version?
I have 4Gb of ram.
