Support Matrix additional to Discord

Would be great if you would let the user the choice if the want to use a free or proprietary chat protocol and support Matrix (element.io), too.

You won't get any arguments in favor of Discord from me and I'm not the one who's going to decide anything here. Just a lowly peasant - though I was chairman of my anarcho-syndicalist commune last term, these days I mostly shovel mud and play around with servers.

That said: You'll have to present a coherent argument for this Matrix thing. What it is, why it's better, why it's not just-another-chat-thing and why bother with any of this over plain IRC?

I don't want to discuss about how bad discord is
I don't asked to replace it. just want to have a option to choose if i use discord or matrix.
They can both coexist with the Bridge.

At the moment i am thinking about using TrueNas Scale or OMV, but i won't use discord.
Matrix is an open, free and decentral alternative to Discord.

I'm really struggling to see where Discord is even an option for support... are you talking about TrueCharts? (who certainly do use and prefer Discord)

Sure, I get that iX is providing a Discord "hosted" by Kris Moore, but I don't see how that relates to these community support forums (and why you would think that suggesting something here would result in anyone changing something there).
