Hi I just inherited 3 Supermicro x8dtu-6f+ based 2026T-6RF+ boxes. one has a Samsung MZ-VPW25670 SSD on a PCI-E card, 146GB of RDIMM ram and 2 xeon 56?? proc. TrueNAS installed to the SSD but will not boot from it. During the Install I was asked UEFI or BIOS I chose BIOS. Has anyone had success getting this configuration to work?
The NVME drive is NOT detected in BIOS

Thank you.

The NVMe drive is just a storage device. You need some sort of support within the host's BIOS, or a BIOS option ROM like a RAID controller has, in order for it to be bootable.

X8 generation gear (Tylersburg, around 2008-2009) was built long before NVMe was a thought (around 2011). Unless Supermicro has updated the BIOS to include NVMe boot support, it will not boot from it, but may still be able to use it as an L2ARC or datastore for jails.
