All is now well!!!!! Turns out that the memory sticks were not properly seated. When I finally got them properly seated, everything is working perfectly. I always err on the side of using less force, but in this case, more force was the answer.
I have the following parts and am unable to boot the system.
Supermicro X11SSH-CTF-B LGA1151/ Intel C236/ DDR4/ SATA3&SAS3&USB3.0/ V&2GbE/ MicroATX Server Motherboard
Timetec Hynix IC 32GB KIT (2x16GB) DDR4 2666MHz PC4-21300 Unbuffered ECC 1.2V CL19 2Rx8 Dual Rank 288 Pin UDIMM Server Memory RAM Module Upgrade
Xeon E3-1230 v6
If I am reading everything properly, these parts should be compatible but when the system boots, I see the following on the monitor,
PEI -- IPMI Initialization
then I hear 5 short beeps and one long beep that according to the users manual indicates a memory error
And the monitor reads
0X06 = mrcReadMPRErr
I have tried only one memory module and cleared the CMOS.
Is there an incompatibility that I am missing?
All Help Will Be Greatly Appreciated.
Thanks
Bob Ivey
