Hi all,
I'm thinking about buying a Supermicro X10SDV-7TP4F to have a bit more RAM. I want to upgrade to Freenas 10 as soon as it's released. I have a RAID-Z3 with 11 2,5" Disks. My network is small, up to 5 hosts but fast using 10GbE. I'm planning to have a few docker instances running, maybe 5 or 6.
My concerns are the the 1,8GHz of the onboard Xeon D is a bit weak for my plans. Do I need to worry?
Currently I'm running a Xeon E3-1230v2 with 32GB RAM.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Regards,
Nik

A skylake build with a Xeon would allow for more RAM (64GB), be cheaper and have better performance.

That is my second option, however it's a 128GB vs 64GB (Skylake) option plus less cores. That's why I would like to know if the 1.8GHz would be sufficient.
