I was told that I should use FreeNAS to configure ProFTPd.
I currently have a vmware computer with multiple vms. I have Ubuntu running on one vm which has the proftpd installation and then I have FreeNAS running on another vm. I assume that FreeNAS can sit on any server/wm and then manage any other server/vm from this central location. Is that correct? OR... does FreeNAS need to exist on the exact same server/vm as the object I am trying to manage -> in this case ProFTPd?
