Strange graphical glitch on boot CLI

Hello,

I am trying to get Scale to work on my newly acquired R730XD-12. During boot up, the text scrolls by just fine until it gets to the point where I assume you would get the text menu with status. As you can see it just turns into gibberish. If I give it a few minutes, I am able to log into the web UI. Dell Support said it is because the 730XD does not support this OS, but I have seen countless others installing just fine on them. I'm lost as to what is going on.

HBA330 Mini Card
512Gb ECC Ram
4x2Tb SSD
8x6Tb SAS
1x64Gb SATACOM
2x16GB Internal SD
Tried installing on internal SD, SATACOM and SAS drive. Tried using BIOS and UEFI boot. All the same result.

You can probably coax GRUB into starting the kernel with a more normal video mode.
