I am looking to upgrade my case fans from the stock fractal design fans that came in the case, not having any issues with noise or thermals but an extra $50-60 (USD) for peace of mind and improved thermals/noise is worth it.
I am unsure if I should go with fans optimized for airflow or static pressure. Gut says airflow but my case (Fractal design r5) has 8HDD bays and 8 are populated with HC520 HGST 12TB drives so I am not entirely sure. It likely won't make an appreciable difference, but if I am gonna spend money I would rather pick the most optimized choice. I have spent a bit of time on google and haven't come any closer to the answer.
