Hello,

my setup is as followed:
I have a Freenas running and a Ubuntu Server I use as backup-storage.

I want to copy files with rsync from the Freenas to the ubuntu server in a script.
At this moment I do it manually because I have to accept the ubuntu server to the known host and to enter the password.

My question is:
How can I add a user with a home directory and store a private key so I don't have to enter the password?

I'm running FreeNAS-8.3.0-RELEASE-p1-x64 (r12825)

Greetings

Wow, that's an old version of FreeNAS.

When you create the user, change their "Home Directory" to the desired dataset/directory and paste their public key into the "SSH Public Key box. See the Users section in the 8.3 PDF for details.
