So I want to clarify the SSD is only missing on certain screens in the UI. Here's what I'm seeing:

Note that sdd is missing and that there is only one drive showing up for my boot-pool. sdd is also missing from the Data Protection pages and Reporting pages. The API doesn't show anything for it either.

If I go to the boot pool status page, I still see sdd showing up as part of the mirror.

It shows up on the command line:

I can get the smartctl results for the drive as well.

I've tried rebooting numerous times, no joy. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue?

Did it occur immediately with the update?

If you have the time, please report a bug and work with engineering to resolve.

Yeah, it happened straight after the update. I use the API to pull statistics for long-term use in an external system, so I noticed that the details dropped from the API when I updated. I'll create a ticket

I have had literally the exact same thing happen, did you find a solution to this?

I just noticed that they closed my bug and marked the fix version as 22.12.3. I haven't upgraded to 22.12.3 yet though, so maybe that will fix it. I'll give that a go later tonight.

Out of interest, was it on an upgrade to 22.12.2 that it happened to you?

Ah, so the issue is still around.

I just read the history of my issue properly. They actually closed it as a duplicate but didn't link the duplicate, so now I have no idea of the status. I've added another comment looking for more detail, but I don't know if I'll get it.

The Samsung SSD is the one that won't show on update, I had to revert back to 12.2 and it is back working. Tried updating again and same result

It would be useful if you both provide your hardware specs.
Lets see if there's anything in common that is unusual

Samsung SSD 870 EVO 1TB. I have it in the closed ticket as well. I'm running TrueNAS on a Qnap TS-453Be

I just upgraded from 22.12.2 - 22.12.3.1 and it fixed the issue for me. So there seems to be some intermittent issue that happens during upgrades.

There is one PCIe related fix in 22.12.3.1 .. might be worth trying to see if it also fixes your issue.. It did work on @mcclown
