Here is the config :
4 RaidZ2 vdev made of 6 drives each
Log
Cache
Spare drive
The second vdev had a faulted disk and the spare kicked in to replace it. Something went wrong and after few reboots the situation like this:
Pool Staus : On line and Healty
All drives are Online, except the Spare which is unavailable
The second Vdev has 5 disks , then a spare section containing 2 drives (the 6th drive and the "unavailable" spare has being online)
I do not have any lost of data or corruption , everything is rolling good - 10G netcards. But, I am not able to re-establish the configuration ( Raidz2 vdev of 6 drives and the spare drive as a general spare drive). I tried all commands on the two spare drives:
- Offline works , and I can put it back Online.
- Replace, Remove, Detach do not work
The pool seems busy , but nothing is pending. Is this a case of transferring to a new pool ?
Should I brute removed (pull-out) the 2 spare drives hoping i will be put the raidz2 in degraded mode, detach the drives (?!!?), reboot the machine, hoping the 6th drive will re-appear has missing and I will be able to perform a proper replace ?
