Last night I got a bunch of these in my log:

Code:
Oct 18 07:32:13 nas mpr0: Current Temp in Celsius: 106
Oct 18 07:33:13 nas mpr0: Temperature Threshold flags 0 exceeded for Sensor: 0 !!!
Oct 18 07:33:13 nas mpr0: Current Temp in Celsius: 106
Oct 18 07:34:13 nas mpr0: Temperature Threshold flags 0 exceeded for Sensor: 0 !!!
Oct 18 07:34:13 nas mpr0: Current Temp in Celsius: 106
Oct 18 07:35:13 nas mpr0: Temperature Threshold flags 0 exceeded for Sensor: 0 !!!
Oct 18 07:35:13 nas mpr0: Current Temp in Celsius: 106

Pretty sure I've got no disks hitting temperatures of 106C. I've got an LSI 9305-24i that seems to get very hot though. Is that what mpr0 refers to? If so, I can't find a way to check current temperature or how to access current temp of sensor 0. IPMI for X470D4U doesn't seem to have anything in the sensors section.

I know for sure CPU doesn't go above about 70C at full load, and it would shut down around 90C anyway. I also have a Chelsio 10gb card, I think the 520 which gets very warm, but I'd be surprised if that was it.

Any ideas?

It's your HBA. Get some airflow over it to cool it down, that's pretty hot.

That's what I was afraid of so thank you for confirming. Any idea how to access that temperature instead of waiting for it to trip the alert?

Would you happen to know how specifically? I can't find a tool for checking HBA temp anywhere. "ipmi sensor list all" does not do it. But somehow FreeNAS is getting alerts, so there must be some way to get that information.
