I have recently noticed in 11.3 (U1) that my shadow copies aren't showing up in Windows previous versions.
In the FreeNAS GUI it lists the snapshots as 0 used even when there are changes in data and therefore with the change in behaviour doesn't show them as shadow copies.
If I browse through the commandline to the .zfs and snaps folders I see the changed data there.
Even in the FreeNAS GUI it shows the Used value as 0 but the Referenced value shows a change in size (see attached screenshot).
I have been using the same Periodic Snapshot tasks for a while so is still probably under the legacy setup if that makes any difference.
Keen to see if anyone else is seeing similar behaviour.
