Snapshot visibility

Hey guys,

i am trying to give a colleague of mine access to snapshots for a certain share, in case he ver needs to restore a specific file.
Up until now he always asked me for this, but i think if there is no harm possible, why not alone him to do it himself.

So basically i created a plain windows shortcut to the .zfs/snapshot directory of a specific network share.
The auto_$date_$time directories appear but i still have a few questions about those or snapshot visibility in general:

- The ZFS directory should be read-only right, so my colleague should not be able to delete anything there but in fact if i go through one of the snapshot
directories, i can indeed delete a file even though it seems to reappear immediately after i did. Is that working as intended? I was expecting an error message when i tried to delete a file there, so i am a little bit confused.

- It would be convenient to use the Previous Version tab for that as well, but for some reason no items appear in that list, even though shadow copies are enabled.
I tried to solve it on my own, by following the guidelines i found here in the forums but so far without success.

- The timestamp of the auto_xxxx folders that are created due to the periodic snapshot don`t correlate with the windows timestamp in the explorer.
For example: auto-2021-07-12_22-00 show a date in windows explorer of 2021/07/08 5:20pm. Thats true for a lot of snapshot direcotires, only a few seem to be correct.
Whats the reason for that?

Thank you in advance for your time and effort to help me out. :)

Cheers
