I am relatively new to FreeNAS. I have a FreeNAS test system set up on an existing network with a Ubuntu production server.
I searched, but did not find anything on point that helped.
Repeating about every 1/2 hour, I get the following messages on the console:
Nov 30 03:51:34 freenas smbd[6138]: [2015/11/30 03:51:34.628190, 0] ../source3/smbd/server.c:545(smbd_accept_connection)
Nov 30 03:51:34 freenas smbd[6138]: accept: Software caused connection abort
Nov 30 04:23:34 freenas smbd[6138]: [2015/11/30 04:23:34.657499, 0] ../source3/smbd/server.c:545(smbd_accept_connection)
Nov 30 04:23:34 freenas smbd[6138]: accept: Software caused connection abort
The single share I have setup is accessible just fine, although it seems to disconnect if idle for 15 minutes or so. Reconnects automatically when I click on it.
I have updated to FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201511280648 and the messages persist.
Any ideas? Could this be a conflict with Samba on the Ubuntu server?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Mike
