SMB won't connect

Is there a better guide out there for setting up Samaba? I have followed iXsystems documentation and I can't seem to get SMB to connect on Windows 10/11 Home. When mapping the drive. Using the same user name/password that I am logged in as on windows. I have set the ACL and created a local user with the primary group builr in users. I have created 3 data sets. I am missing either a windows or true nas step. I have searched around and people seem to solve this issue but don't share what they did or what step is getting overlooked ...

SOLVED For what ever reason the only way to connect was to enter the ip instead of the netbios name and then the folder. I am sure there is a reason to this and I would love to know why the netbios doesn't work just incase this work around stops
