Seem as of my update to 11 from 9.10.2 I'm having some issues.
One being Windows is unable to access network shares and FreeNAS is saying it's a authentication failure.
Windows 7 to FreeNAS 11
Do I need to change my SMB configuration?
I'm able to browse from linux devices and my phone.

Windows 7 may be trying to use ancient authentication, due to some stupid application messing with it.

Well good grief, I think it may very well be my desktop. I just fired up a Win7 virtual machine and it logged in just fine. I've never had this kind of problem with Win7, makes me think it might be update related. I wouldn't be surprised, anything MS can do to frustrate the customer into buying the lasted version of Windows. Purely speculation of course (wink)

No, it's almost certainly a third-party application that messed with the registry setting that defines what authentication to use for SMB. That's easily fixed.
