Hi to everyone and thank you in advance for all the help that you can give to me. I recently migrated from CORE to SCALE using the manual update procedure (all fine) and enstablished a new storage dataset with 2 4-Tb WD RED PLUS in mirror configuration plus an other one with 3 500-Gb WD Blue (Raidz). After fighting a while with all the permissions and sharing option I finally managed to share these dataset with the SMB protocol. Everything seemed fine (user access and permission management) until I tried to transfer data on these disks. The speed is ok initially (is nearly saturating the Intel Gigabit NIC) but after 10-30 second it drops because the SMB connection is lost and reconnected againg after a second. I hearded the disks are writing without any strange sound (they are new), the CPU load didn't exceed 25% and the RAM is not full...
Anyone had the same problem? With the same config I didn't have any problem using CORE..
Hoping for you hel I thank you all in advance for all the documentation and the experties on the forum...

the forum rules are required reading and not following them tends to result in radio silence.
you haven't posted your hardware, so no idea. my first guess would be a realtek NIC, which are crap.

I'm sorry for the missing information. I use a Dell T1600 workstation with Xeon 31225 processor, 16Gb of RAM and Intel Gigabit network card.
I tried to put everything back to default and also desabled dataset encryption. The performance slightly increased and I was able to write for about 1-2 minutes before smb connection crashed and reconnected.
The interesting part is that I had absolutely no issues with the Core u12 version. At this point I'm asking myself if could be better to abandon Scale and return to Core...

Thank you for the reply
what was the reason for going to scale to begin with?
I was tempted by the new GUI and the app section compared to the plugins that seems not so updated in Core...but them main functionality as backup device is always more important for me... I will try to re-install core and reset all to the initial config.
