Hello - hope someone can help- simple question
Sharing via SMB
Two accounts Wife, Me
Everyone sep. home share

One share directory together

Im using osx, she windows 11
How do i set the common share permissions via mac? (for windows permissions change seems like to work) to enable both accounts to delete,create etc

Options on a MacOS client are limited. Depending on server configuration, you can chmod from Terminal on client to alter permissions (but this only affects owner@, group@, and everyone@ entries).

I think generally, it's better to just set permissions from the webui. You can create datasets with "SMB" type and the permissions will automatically be permissive enough that any local user can write to the share.
