Hey together,
in my other thread, i was already wondered, why i can't see the same content of a SMB share on different devices.
I think i found now one problem about it, but have no idea how to solve it (because until yet that didn't happen and everything worked perfectly fine).
Let me give you an example:
I have mounted the SMB share with the user Public. Now i create a new file (test.txt). As user Public I can see and access the file.
If i have the same share mounted with user Martin, i cannot see the file. I first need to make the right-click on the file (or complete SMB device) & edit the security settings again and need to apply them. Otherwise user Martin is not allowed, to access & see the file test.txt.
The weird thing is, that i did the security-settings for the whole device and consequently all subfolders (Z:\ -> Security settings -> added all users & their grants and also activated inheritation). With those settings, the permissions normally should be applied to new created files too or am I wrong?
Do you have ideas, how to solve this? I attach a screenshot of the current security settings for my Public dataset & share.
Brgds & Thanks
