Hey there! I was running the most recent version of TrueNAS 12, and all was well... Time Machine for MacOS was super reliable, I used my network shares all the time. Then I got the error that my Time Machine backup failed because the disk wasn't available. Okay... So I stopped SMB and started it again. Nope. Nothing. I restarted my mac. Nothing. Time Machine not working, and I couldn't browse to network shares anymore. I tried manually connecting. Rejected. Tried wife's computer. Same issue.

I upgraded my NAS to TrueNAS 13.0 to see if that would fix the issue. Nope. I tried deleting a bunch of shares I no longer use. Didn't help. I know I haven't posted any logs or information here, but does anyone have thoughts on what might be the issue? And if there are logs / screenshots I should be posting, let me know. Thanks in advance for any help!

All the SMB logs are in /var/log/samba4. Look in log.smbd and log.smbd.old to see when the problem first started. This should tell you exactly what happened to make SMB stop working, instead of shotgunning guesses in the dark.

I have the same problem. Updgraded to 8.1 and SMB stopped working. Rolled back to 8.0 and SMB is still not working.
